In 2 seasons at Notre Dame 106 catches 1218 yards 7 TDs. Hopefully Kelly can bring him to Baton Rouge

Notre Dame is such a good academic school, they put a bunch of guys in the NFL as well, and they’re 11-1 this year—I just don’t think he’s the kind of coach a bunch of guys are gonna leave Notre Dame to follow to Baton Rouge.

Recruits are far more likely to follow him than students currently enrolled at notre dame

I just thought about Kelly and what he do with Jack Bech at his disposal!!

We're not going to have 20 guys transferring from ND to LSU. We might maybe have 2 or 3. Kelly is going to focus on recruits, as he should and he'll pick up some transfers but most of them won't be from ND.

Watching that guy play this year, you know who he reminds me of a little?
Mashburn.
What if they develop Mashburn as a receiver? He's athletic and he can definitely run some.
The kid who has to be absolutely salivating right now is Jay Johnson, though. He has to be thinking he died and went to heaven.

Mashburn is never going to be a receiving threat at TE

If that.
ND is Catholic Aggie Cult.

This is correct. In most instances in CFB, players sign up to play the coach just as much if not more than they sign up to play for the school. Notre Dame is a considerable exception to that. For the most part, guys who go to play at ND care about being at ND.
Though, fwiw: LSU recruited Mayer, and Mayer's Grandpa played basketball at LSU.

Jake Johnson? Also, Mashburn is not even in the same stratosphere as Mayer as a receiver.

Bech is not a tight end.

Looks like Mayer was a classmate of Nick Sandmann. I wonder if he was on that infamous trip to DC?
