I still trust Woodward

He’s an LSU guy from an LSU family. I believe he did have Riley on the harpoon at some point, and he indeed still might because Riley could’ve just been the next coach lying when questioned by the press. College coaches have zero integrity in what they say when it comes down to if they’re taking a job or not. Big money makes people do and say all kinds of bs.
If it’s still Riley, great, he’s a big improvement over O, albeit probably an overpaid one based on his coaching in big games against teams with defense and something to play for.
If it’s not Riley, that’s great too, Woodward almost can’t miss on upgrading from our last two potato head coaches.
Riley
Aranda
Rhule
Fickell
Napier
It’s a blind dart throw and we’ll have competent coaching with someone who can speak articulately and directly to people. I’m still optimistic af for our football team. Just comes down to who wants the keys to the Ferrari?

You forgot Bo Pelini.

Besides Saban, who was an NFL coach when he made his statement, are there any examples of coaches with that adamant a denial that went ahead and took the job? It would make him a flat out liar.

Has Aranda signed the extension yet?

Countless examples of both coaches and athletes that adamantly say one thing and then do another when millions of dollars are involved.

I have some great waterfront property to sell you?

After the Aleva administration, most LSU fans were scared by a coaching search.
SW ain’t Joe Aleva. Nobody knows if he ever talked with Riley/Aranda/insert coach here.
If he wants Riley, Riley will be the coach.

Mel Tucker tweeted out that he was committed to staying at Colorado—specifically that he was flattered by MSU’s interest but was staying—and then was announced 4 days later.
Not saying that’ll happen here, but there are examples.
