Payton is protecting Taysom right now. He doesn't want him out their with this little talent around him.

I know that.
Payton is the one that had Taysom injured twice this season, once even AFTER he was coming back from the concussion. (Not really ready) and used as a fricking joker again and injured his foot. Payton has not been held to the fire.

That’s why we can’t talk QBs like Brees, Rivers or Luck out of retirement. Who would want to risk an injury for a team that has no offensive talent and a crappy offensive line.
