Never said he was a bad coach. The point is if we end up with Stoops, Woodward firing O mid-season and starting his “search” would be a completely pointless. He could have hired Stoops on Sunday with one phone call I’m sure. It’s settling because everyone else told him no. He would have essentially gotten 4 or 5 coaches huge raises and settled for option 6 or lower. Not exactly a good look. If he does hire him, he should probably start praying that he’s a success, because that’s the kind of hire that gets you fired if the program tanks.
