A super bowl winning HC, I'd take it. I have no clue why the Eagles let him go.

We would get elite QBs and our offense would be innovative.

NFL success with shite personnel.

Andy Reid coaching tree

Has run a NFL coaching staff and could put together what he needs to be successful here.

Has Louisiana ties.

Yet, he’s still available.

If it was him, why wait?
Just name him now.

It’s Not him

Think it probably had to do with the never-ending injury problems his team had.

But if he needs a good OC, let's get him one.

I wouldn't have a problem with Doug Pederson as the hire, if Woody thinks he's a fit. A Super Bowl champion with three playoff appearances in five years as a head coach and an overall winning record in the league is a pretty good resume. He could fit the Nick Saban/Pete Carroll model of the somewhat-successful NFL head coach who could be dominant at the college level where there are no restrictions on personnel.

NFL success does not automatically = NCAA success just as it's vice versa for successful NCAA coaches. There's no shame in admitting some NFL coaches would not be successful in NCAA. It's a totally different environment to coach in. We could do much worse than Pederson but I'd have serious concerns if he can maintain a NCAA program.

I also think he would have a big impact in recruiting.
NFL resume and also coached High School in Louisiana not that long ago.
