The section was terrible last night. I'm not very far removed from my student section days(25 years old) but I can't remember another game in recent memory that they student section tried to start the wave at the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second. The section directly next to the band needs to get it together. First of all, the wave sucks. Second, the game wasn't even close to being over. Also, everytime you call some dude an a-hole for taking your little beach ball, you look like a joke too. Are you really not entertained enough at the games these days? Is that why a bunch of people left in the third quarter? Is that why you barely used all of the allotted seats. I see a lot of students bitching about tickets and stuff but it seems pretty clear to me why you section is smaller and smaller each year.
In short, get it together. We need an avid student section in the game for more than just the Bama and UGA games.

not gonna happen. you can wish all you want, but students will always leave early to go out/drink with the exception of 1 maybe 2 games per year. or in my case, leave to drop a deuce

Dude I totally agree with you. I was pissed off when everyone left in the 3rd quarter. Not many people were "in it" as I remember from my prior years

This is my sixth year in the student section, first as a non-student, and there are definitely more douches this year than I can remember. But there are hotter girls than I've ever seen, so it's not all bad.

couldn't agree more with everything you said. i cant stand the goddamn wave and beach balls and all that bullshite. watch the damn game. it did get loud whenever state got down to the 1 and we held them twice before they scored.

After going to Auburn and coming back I was amped up to see our students show em how it was done. Boy did they whiff. That place used to be packed tighter than a *insert crude joke here*
Props to the sections farthest from the band that stopped the wave from continuing any farther. And for the love of GAWWWWWWWWD bring back ohhhhh weee ohhhh or atleast find something that the students can get into besides Neck. At this rate it will be played out before the Auburn game a week ago.

student section my arse . our fan base (NOT EVERYONE)on a whole is bullshite. did you see the penn state game. those fans STAY UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME. I just dont get leaving early to beat the traffic.if msu would have scored and got an onside kick towards the end of the game, what was left of our fanbase wouldn't have made much noise. i know i'm beating a dead horse but i dont care STAY AND WATCH YOUR TIGERS FOR THE WHOLE GAME AND IF ITS OUT OF REACH CHEER FOR THE 2ND 3RD AND 4TH STRING, THEY LOVE TO HEAR APPLAUSE FOR THEIR NAMES BEING CALLED. EVERYONE WHO LEAVES TIGER STADIUM EARLY WITHOUT A MEDICAL CONDITION WILL BE SUBJECT TO MY GRIS GRIS. THATS RIGHT FROM NOW ON STAY AND CHEER OR I'LL PUT A CURSE ON YOU, BESIDES IT LOOKS LIKE shite ON NATIONAL T.V.

Haha this thread is a joke. The student section was great yesterday. Check out what Russell Shepard said.
“The fans stayed in it the entire time,” added Shepard. “It was just important to show them how much this community gets behind the football team. It's just a great college atmosphere, especially when the students are going crazy. I feel like we could have won by more, but Mississippi State is a very good team."

if you dont like the student section go somewhere else, none of us students care what you think because we arent out to please those who would rather sit down all game, and to the douchebag who told me not to stand and that i was in his way, you can go watch a southern game.

Who else finds this complete and utter BS? The entire stadium chants the added "kick their arse". Whoever made that decision should by harassed by the students unmercifully until they revoke that decision.
