The thing about the 2019 defense was that they were very hit or miss, and hit hard by injuries — Fulton, Delpit, Lawrence and a few others were all hurt for pretty much the entire season. That first drive of the second half against Texas was a killer and ended up burning them for a weeks. I think it was nearly 20 plays, a few guys got hurt and once that happened things were pretty shaky.

The defense had one the highest in 3-and out percentage but gave up a lot chunk plays for touchdowns. However, as seen in the SECCG and the playoffs, once everybody started getting healthy again, they were pretty damn good.
