You have to figure with George being the baby of the group, joining at 13, that he was tired of being “the kid” as he was developing comparable writing/singing/performing skills like his older band mates. After 12 years, you could tell he would rather defer or just leave rather than get his ideas seemingly shot down.

In the great Anthology dvd documentary, Paul, George and Ringo narrated the whole thing. In it, George half-jokingly says “we’re in our 60s and Paul still calls me kid”’

George was like the Scottie Pippen of music. Obviously an all-time great in his own right but there are 100 guitarists you could have put in Harrison's place and the Beatles still would have been the greatest band of all-time due to Lennon and McCartney.

I will watch get back this weekend so I will comment on it later

george went to woodstock ny and hung out with dylan in fall 68 (I would have you anytime is the song he wrote for dylan) and dylan told him you can be happy on your own and do your own thing.

so lennon pulling away and macca driving the train pushed george to resentment, lennon was honest with george but he also protected him. paul really drove a wedge between all of them with maxwell’s silver hammer

I watched let it be last night and there is a nice section where ringo is working on the chords to octopus’s garden on the piano with george on guitar. macca walks in all smiles and you can physically see george set back and recoil a bit like he is expecting some remark from macca that actually never comes

let it be has no narrator and it is edited and chopped up in a non-linear way so it comes across as confusing and too negative. billy preston jidt appears halfway th rough the movie with no explanation

lyndsey-hogg made it to be a runup to a show that never happened, but the rooftop concert was the compromise to finish the movie. george refused to play live in front of an audience because he was a perfectionist and he felt rushed.

in the concert for george in 2002 they played wah wah with paul on piano and I find it weird him playing on a song about the strife that he was a big part of during the get back sessions

listen to run of the mill and read the lyrics, it is 100% about paul and it is brutal

I, me, mine and isnt it a pity are also about his sadness and frustration being in the beatles. I am still amazed I, me, mine made it onto a beatles album knowing what it is about

my sweet lord was rejected by john, he didnt want a song about God on a beatles album

also think about this junk and maybe I’m amazed were also in the works by paul and could have been beatles songs too
