Will Justice Williams ever play this season?

Kids a stud. Saw him in sweats the first couple games sitting with shareef. is he hurt?

Yes he is injured. Will Wade said Justice should be back sometime soon on the Culotta Show this morning, but he has also said they plan to redshirt him.

Is there a certain number of games he can play this season and still get the redshirt?

Basketball doesn’t have that rule I believe. Only option for playing games and still get a redshirt is a medical situation.
Meaning a player could begin playing a season and then get hurt, and as long as he hasn’t played more than a certain percentage of the season, then the NCAA would likely grant a medical hardship and allow for the redshirt.
But it’s not like football where they can play so many games and still maintain the redshirt as long as they don’t go over that.

The hope of the coaching staff is to be able to redshirt him. Adam Miller going down and O'Neal ongoing saga may not allow that to happen.

Typically Will wants an 8 or 9 man rotation. when Shareef gets healthy he will be the 9th guy in the rotation. You can't play 11 or 12 guys consistently in college hoops. 10 is a stretch. I thought Ezewiro was a redshirt candidate too but he has already played.

Wade also shifts his roster a lot so could be best to see what you have in the young guys early in case injury strikes. I think Williams plays this year just to give us an extra spark in the back court as we only have really 3 guards

I think the goal is to redshirt him ala fudge. He came a year early. Gets work with a college level team while not losing a year.

He reclassified up a year to redshirt and get in a college weight room/program.

Plan was to redshirt him, I seriously doubt we're able to unless all 3 guards stay perfectly healthy all season long. It can happen but seems unlikely. All it takes is a stinger where a guard is banged up for a game or two or something and we're down to the danger zone of having just 2 guards.
If his family wants him to redshirt that's 1 thing, but the guy was a 5-star basically in the 2022 class, he should be able to play minutes right away (once fully healthy).
