No vaccine in the history of the world prevents a virus from entering your body and testing positive

That’s a simple truth regardless of how you feel about this particular vaccine

But every vaccine against a virus has prevented you from carrying such a viral load that you’re contagious or prevents you from expressing symptoms.

This is the first vaccine in the history of the world who’s efficacy is judged on whether or not you end up in the hospital after catching the disease. The others prevent proliferation of the virus within your body so effectively you essentially have no virus inside of you.

And this vaccine does that as well….Just look at Bert in the OP, we can’t know for certain, but as a morbidly obese individual the virus likely would have wrecked his immune system and produced high viral replication making him highly contagious. But with the vaccine, his viral replication stayed low, this making him barely sick at all and far less contagious due to the low viral replication. If this was any time in history before this, Bert never would have been tested and thus you never would have thought he ever got covid and you would say “the vaccine prevented his infection”

Truth is we have no clue how much other vaccinations have “breakthrough infections” for asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic individuals, because we have never tested those individuals before like we do with covid

Both covid the virus and the covid vaccine was and is being judged on a completely different grading scale than anything ever before for political reasons on both sides of the fence
