Episode 2 was boring and the effects for Shadar Logoth were cringe inducing. Seriously. Where the frick is the VFX budget? Do they have any? Did most of the money go to buying the rights for WoT? I do not like this combination of these cheap looking practical sets combined with these background portrait painting landscapes. It looks awful to a distracting degree.

The paint by the numbers diversity is distracting as hell too and is being done in a way that is in no way organic. Especially when the world seems so damn small and de-populated.

There’s no organic chemistry with any of these actors either. Part of that is them not even building any backstory. I give no fricks about this iteration of WoT characters.

The costuming is also random as hell too. Thom looks like he’s from the Industrial Age and about to hop on a train. Just needs a pocket watch. Where the frick is his cloak? Sure… change characters willynilly but shite. You can’t even keep identifying costuming unique to characters intact? Rafe doesn’t seem like a fanboy at all. He’s a Stephanie Myers equivalent writing his fan fiction of WoT.

In their rush to get everything rushed, there’s seemingly zero story and zero character development. The acting has been meh. Perrin is awkward in every scene and being out acted by Egwene who isn’t exactly great. Mat is the only one I like and I’m still salty about having him stealing from the dead.

Can’t wait for E4 where Nyn goes super Saiyan with the one power with ZERO lead up after going all Dutch on that Trolloc where blademaster Tam struggled with just one.

This show is shite. I don’t see the appeal even if I were an ignorant casual fan of fantasy.

STARGATE SG1 did a superior job world-building and had better set-designs, costuming, etc. yea. It’s SciFi, but still. The thought out into all these various worlds was superior.

I was hoping the ensemble cast would at least be good but it’s been disappointing and all over the map. And now we will be in Tar Valon already. Seriously. I know the books are dense, but this is moving at such lightspeed everything is being sacrificed.
