Paging Downshift/anybody in the Bluff/Hwy 74 area: Wild Pigs?

I drive Hwy 74 from bluff to the prison a good bit. Yesterday I saw the 2nd ferrel hog on the side of the road in a month. First one was pretty large, 150-200lbs. It was way down the road, couple hundred yards from the big curve by the prison. Second one was smaller, prolly 50ish and was where everybody dumps trash/where they’re doing the pipeline stuff not far from bluff. Was just wondering if this is new and if anybody else has seen any in this area lately. Figured Downshift would know for sure.

I've heard the hogs have taken over that Spanish Lake area. You used to be able to launch at that little bridge on 74 and take that canal back to Spanish Lake/Alligator Bayou.
Due to a ton of political crap, they drained the lake. It went from beautiful to dead dry in a few years.

Now show a picture from todays time with the vegetation returning now that it is functioning as an actual wetland. Including the area to the northeast shown on your exhibit. Instead of a picture from the middle of a recently drained lake against the wetland fringe of a previously full lake.

....and the debate begins again....
I'm not part of that debate, so I'm gonna walk away now...
I haven't seen any recent photos. Can you post us some?

Not part of it either, and I knew that was media information, which always likes a sensationalized story. You can see it from aerial images.

I travel that way every day working at GEO. When the water gets high in the swamp, they will be dead all over the side of the road. They usually have some big ones now and then but it’s usually the piglets that get smoked by vehicles.

There was a bunch of hogs grazing on the side if the road when it was flooded. I think smaller hogs may be what the buzzards are on by the pipeline/power line area.
