Is your buddy the self appointed manager? Can he be replaced? What are the consequences of not listening to him?
There are not many places south of the mason dixon that are going to have deer that heavy at 1.5yr!!
Now will that deer turn into a trophy maybe not but that’s not yearling.

Thats my opinion as well...2.5-3yr probably

Not to mention we are in the piney woods just outside of Waynesboro, Ms but we feed and plant year round and have many mineral sites

One advantage we have though is we back up to about 3000 acres of National forest that is landlocked and not usable by the public.

So we always have new rack deer we've never seen before showing up year to year

You could easily kill 50+ deer a year on 1100 acres and it would just be replenished by other deer moving in
