Quarterback natural talent vs coaching

If you had to put a percentage on each, what is the percentage of success, in your opinion, for a quarter back playing on pure natural talent vs superior coaching. For arguments sake let’s take Sean Payton as the coach as he is known for maximizing talent. Also, what is the worst quarter back in the league that you think could have a winning record in New Orleans with good coaching?

This whole CSP is a QB whisperer is just hope. He’s had Drew Brees his whole career and has never developed a QB since he has been here.

He did a good job with Kerry Collins and Drew Bledsoe. He’s a great offensive mind who had the benefit of having an all time great QB for the majority of his career. He’s done well with backup QBs as well.
As for the OP. You can’t really overcome the lack of talent. But bad coaching can stunt or hinder talent too. Look at Vick, he said he didn’t prepare like he should have when he was in atlanta. But he was so damn talented that he didn’t need to prepare as much as most people. Then look at someone like a Goff or Wentz. They find a coach who can design some plays and they are good, the player or coach leaves and they are bad.

Cowboys went 10-6 with Quincy Carter the year Payton got there. All the while he was developing Romo, who he pushed Parcells to sign as a UDFA and even tried to trade for him when Payton got here in ‘06. Brdigewager/Hill filling in for Brees and going 8-1
Anyone who knocks Payton doesn’t really understand the landscape of the league.

80% talent 20% coaching in the nfl. If that.
A qb is lucky when they get developed by an nfl team. Most teams don’t put in the effort because it takes too much time. It’s a win now league.
Everyone in the nfl has the attitude that you can either play qb or not. There could be a lot better qb play if they developed them.
