Just need one nice place at each island for a trip in June. Will be a group of 15 (3 families). The other 2 families have never been so I’m sure we will do one luau and I think we have that lined up already.

Oahu is a shitshow but it is absolutely filled with great restaurants being such a populous island.
My favorite meal there was The Pig and The Lady, followed by Mud Hen Water. Hau Tree has a really great atmosphere.
Haliewa Joes at Haiku Gardens has an amazing view. And the biggest, best Prime Rib I have ever seen/had. Its insane. (No reservations, you have to get there at like 4 and then wait in line).

I can vouch for both of these if you're looking for a nice dinner. Stevenson's Library at the Grand Hyatt Kauai also has some amazing sushi and fresh-made wasabi. The Dolphin in Hanalei was a decent lunch as well.
Be sure to make a reservation well in advance for any of those.
Fish Express in Lihue and Ishihara Market in Waimea also have really good poke bowls for just a hole-in-the-wall lunch.

If you're driving around Hilo, or want to grab something and eat at the park right around there I suggest Suisan
I would have been happy eating this every day.
