What's the best college football game you have ever seen? I'm not talking about a game that was boring and had a great ending, but a game that was just amazing from start to finish.

Two of mine:

2007 Fiesta Bowl
Boise jumped out to an early lead and you started to believe. Oklahoma comes back with AD. Hook and Lateral and the freaking Statue of Liberty to end it!!

2011 Game of the Century
I know a lot of people don't like defensive games, but this game was awesome. Felt like any play could break out and change the game and neither defense blinked.

Curious to hear what others think about some of the best games ever played.

I have a top 3 that’s gonna be pretty tough to beat:

1. Texas-USC, 2005 National Championship
2. Georgia-Oklahoma, Rose Bowl, 2017 Playoff Semifinals
3. Georgia-Alabama, 2012 SEC Championship, or Georgia-Alabama, 2017 National Championship, or Texas-Michigan, 2005 Rose Bowl

Eta: thought we were talking about in person.

On TV, the first 3 I thought of:
Boise St - Oklahoma
Bush Push (USC-ND)
App St-Michigan

Those two are it for me too. That Bama-LSU was a pressure cooker, best game.

Flutie Hail Mary game against Miami gets an honorable from me.

2007 Arkansas-LSU
2015 Michigan-Michigan State
2008 Texas-Texas Tech
2014 Baylor-TCU
2019 SMU-Tulsa

2007 LSU vs Virginia Tech was one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever attended from start to finish. I know it doesn’t check any of the boxes of the others mentioned, but if you were there, you know what I mean.

Otherwise, yeah, all the others that are being mentioned.

1984 Georgia Clemson in Athens

Dogs won it 26-23. Clemson came in ranked #1. Kevin Butler kicked a 61 yard field goal to win it right at the end. Hardest hitting game I've ever seen to this day. Looking back on it, I don't see how Georgia scored 6 points, much less 26. I don't think the ticker could take it today. lol

Texas beats USC******
Harvard and Yale tie 29-29 1968
Boise beats Oklahoma
ND beats Houston...Montana the hero

******Still mad, Young threw a TD pass with his knee on the ground.

Only time Reggie Bush wasn;t the fastest cat in the game that was Longhorn RB Jamaal Charles.

2013 UF-UT. First half was the most entertaining half of football I have ever witnessed. Injuries, turnovers, busted plays...I have never laughed so hard at a sport in all my life.

Texas-USC almost can't be beat because of the stakes at the time (USC going for a 3-peat and approaching Oklahoma's 44 game win streak and two Heisman winners on the field and a Heisman runner-up) - Rose Bowl, Keith Jackson's final call...and the game was played at such a high-level and lived up to the star power on the field and bright lights big city, celebrities galore.

I've never seen such hype for a game (Texas and USC were #1 and #2 all year) that lived up to the hype. That was a blue blood masterpiece. The stars aligned and gave everyone an epic game.

I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire game. I don't think I even moved at halftime either.

2009 Utah v Alabama - Sugar Bowl. Utah came out and slapped Alabama around. Finished 13-0. That was a fun game to watch.

The 1980 Holiday Bowl was amazing.

It was a game that matched contrasting offenses - SMU's Pony Express - led by Eric Dickerson and Craig James - was the best rushing attack in the nation and had 350 yards rushing. LaVell Edwards passing attack, led by Jim McMahon, was a rarity in college football in those days and also the best in the nation and had 450 yards passing.

The game had tons of big, exciting plays and with three minutes left in the game, SMU had a commanding 45-25 lead. The BYU fans started filling out of the stadium and McMahon cussed them out from the sideline yelling that they were going to comeback and win the game.

McMahon then went out and scored a quick TD. BYU recovered the onside and McMahon hit another long TD pass. BYU failed to get the next onside, but they forced SMU to punt from midfield with under 30 seconds left. SMU blocked the punt and McMahon threw a last second 50 yard hail mary that was caught by a BYU receiver who was sandwiched between 5 defenders. Final score 46-45.
