Quit bringing up Jimbo!

Other than a prior hiring by Woody, why is Jimbo’s name even coming up? Talk about mediocre!
For those of you who don’t read, the LSU job is considered by many insiders as one of the top jobs in all of football, both college and pro. In addition, Woodward always does and WILL be making a big splash hire, and is fully aware that nearly any coach he wants will be attainable.
I think an A list looks more this:
Lincoln Riley
Dave Aranda
Mario Cristobal
Luke Fickell
A possible B list may include names like:
Billy Napier
Lane Kiffin
Mel Tucker
Matt Rhule
Jimbo shouldn’t even be in the backup plans, because with the consensus of what this position offers, the schools resources and Woody at the helm, they won’t need a backup plan!

People are bringing up Jimbo because it’s a real possibility he’s the guy who is going to be hired, or has already been hired.

Rhule should 100% be on your A list. That would be a home run hire.

Jimbo will not be the next coach! Sorry to disappoint you low standard, low self esteem fans who think mediocre coaches like him is all we deserve. You are hearing smokescreen rumors if anyone has told you that.

Everyone on your A and B list would be lucky to have Jimbo's resume when their careers are all said and done. But yeah, mediocre.

Because of what? One national championship at Fla State? For what he’s done with what talent he’s been given, why in God’s name would you think he would be the #1 choice of everyone out there? All I’ve seen is people claiming that Woody is playing 4D chess and gave him a contract with no buyout. Not realizing that the Aggie coach before Fisher had a contract with no buyout, that Woodys didn’t negotiate…. So unless Woody was playing 4D chess all the way back at Washington for this move… I think y’all wrong. Also all these rumors that he isn’t happy in Texas… I’ve heard rumors saying that that is furthest from the truth from both side of the isle…

Look guy, I get it - you don’t like Jimbo. I don’t either. But don’t act like he isn’t considered by most in CFB as a top tier coach. There’s a reason aTm just gave him a raise to 9.5 million, more than Saban gets, and it’s not because he’s mediocre.

My sauces are telling me that a deal with Jimbo is already agreed upon for $$ in the neighborhood of 11.5 mil/yr.? Take it for what its worth but Woodie did hire him at A&M and he has a $0 buyout so in that regard it does make good business.
Most importantly put aside all of the BS and besides Saban and Dabo his resume is probably better than anyone?
