Coach ranking is tough. For some of them we tend to include our perception based on their time outside of LSU as well. And there's always the difficulty of era-to-era comparisons and different methods of picking a champion over time. I think based solely on what they did at LSU:

1. Miles
2. Dietzel
3. Saban
4. Orgeron

More importantly is what Saban did FOR LSU. He established a foundation for long term success

My sentiments exactly. Miles has to be number one, even though i didn't like his last three seasons. Deitzel had more longevity than Saban, but I would rank Saban over Orgeron. Contrary to how we feel now, Orgeron is easily in the top four, having never had a season below .500 at this point.
