Just heard Joel klatt (I know, I know) say that he has heard Matt Rhule may not be all in on the NFL.

With just a quick look he turned around temple and Baylor in 3 seasons each. At face value he looks like he would be a good hire and something that Woodward would take a look at.

Trigger warning: Colin cowherd show
10 minute mark

Anybody got a strong opinion about him either way?

Matt Rhule will replace Brady, and try one more year before he returns to college.

He has complete control over what he wants and his vision with the Panthers. I doubt he’s looking at college right now. The owner and Tepper are on a 5 year turnaround plan, it’s just year 2.

Matt Rhule would be a home run. He can bring Brady with him too if he wants.

I think he may eventually return to college but not after this year. It’s only year two and he has full control there. Unless he’s found he just absolutely hates the NFL and wants out. Woodward should definitely kick the tires. Would be a fantastic hire

If his team continues to fail and goes down the road it is on this has the Saban situation written all over it. Can’t find a qb and he can’t recruit his own talent so he can’t find success. LSU would be in a great position to make him a wild offer that i think he would be take. He would be #2 on my realistic list of “white wale” behind Riley.

Lol. Nobody is on a 5 year turnaround in the nfl. You don’t get it done by year 3 max then you’re getting the axe.

If USC hires Franklin, Rhule will call PSU in a heartbeat.

This is my thinking as well. If he has any doubt in his mind that the nfl is not what he wants and the right situation opens up in college and throws 10-12 million a year at him he has to consider

Shades of Saban. (obviously less accomplished in college)

If Matt Rhule is interested, I give him the same $12m offer I made to Riley without a second thought.

Yeah, I'm hearing more and more that Brady might be getting the boot.
Aranda with Brady as OC sounds nice...just saying

My thinking as well. If he's interested at coming back I imagine there would be even less motivation on PSU's end to keep Franklin as well. But to be fair he did turn down the hometown giants to be apart of a more attractive project in Carolina. Hopefully he has the same thinking with LSU.

Why isn’t this being discussed by anyone on twitter if he actually said this? That’s a big bombshell
