The majority of "Republicans for JBE" voted for him the first time because they were self-righteous idiots who "couldn't" vote for Vitter because he cheated on his wife. They also used the fact that JBE was pro-life and catholic as "valid" reasons to vote for him. They knew little else about his politics.
