Yeah right. My wife and our local state rep presented legislation last year to curtail both the governor's emergency powers along with the county health officer's. As small business owners, we didn't want either individual to be able to shut down portions of the economy without the legislature at least weighing in. The legislation didn't make it our of committee and hasn't been readdressed.

What? You didn't like the fricking MeeMaw and her State Dr laid to you small businesses? It was for your own good...

I hate that MeeMaw is trying to act all tough and stand up now.... I also hate the fact that the voters in the State of AL will put her back into office....

The state leg doesn't want the ball in their court. Then they might actually have to do something. Most of the legislature didnt even want to go to work last year.
