Isn't what it used to be. Lighting in a bottle aside (Burrow's best year), LSU is performing like a mid-tier program. Bama is king and until Saban retires, winning the SEC is like winning the lottery: it's possible, but it ain't likely.
LSU used to be dominant on the line of scrimmage, LSU used to have a winning record over Bama, and LSU was primed to win it all, then 21-0 happened.
Perpetual mediocrity.
Yet we'll be hyped, only to have a typical 8-9 win season. The next head coach will need a year or two to beat the softness out of the team.
