My thought? Dumbass violated basic gun safety by unholstering the gun by holding the trigger.
If this was a “cold gun” and it did a cold fire by doing that (hitting an empty cylinder), it would have scared the shite out of them and hurt the gun a bit but not hurt anyone.
But it having a round in the chamber when he did that means he accidentally shot two people.
Isn’t the first time something like this has happened. NFL star Plaxico Burress did time because he shot himself with his own (unregistered) gun by accident in a club in New York by picking it up improperly.
