Split bus.

Happens all the time to us. Elementary school has 9 bus routes. They have 9 drivers for those routes. Because no one wants to work anymore... they have no extras, no subs, etc. So if a driver calls in sick or whatever, now they have to use 8 drivers for 9 busses. So they split up the bus routes. Usually results in the kid getting home later than normal.

For some reason it happens a lot more with after school than before school.
