Photos from text messages on iphone 13 going into camera roll.

Why are photos from text messages appearing in my camera roll? If I save them, sure, but every picture that is texted to me goes there with the option to save

It's a new iOS feature, not sure if you can turn it off
I assume they stop showing up at some point if you don't save them?

New feature to make sharing by iMessage easier. To turn it off go to settings>messages> and turn Shared with You to off.
