Just saw an article where Lighthouse Investment hedge fund sold all 3.2 million shares they held in DWAC. Assuming that happened this morning that’s likely the cause of the dip. It was 11.3% of the shares

Yeah that would explain the quick down turn.

If my calculations are correct, they made a YUGE profit.

I was really hoping this was going to dip into the $50s.

It appears if all founders shares are converted (which they will) and warrants are exercised (which is a lock at these prices), then you’re looking at ~54.4 million shares of common stock in DWAC. At $90, it’s about a $4.9B valuation for DWAC. Given the very sparse details of the merger, if we assume the cash in trust is proportional to the ownership stake for DWAC, that gives TMTG a valuation around $15B.

Lots of assumptions in there, so the updated prospectus should be interesting.

And in doing so they get to virtue signal. They claimed they were unaware of the merger and sold due to it, implying they didn’t want to be associated with Trump.

I’m sure it had nothing to do with the hundreds of millions of profit. And I’m sure a large hedge fund owning 11% had no idea the merger was coming, even though most of us regular people knew about it before the stock jumped.

The warrants can be traded at this point, but not redeemed (I know... wrong term) for at least a year, correct?

I really think Lighthouse causing a quick dip caused some panic sell offs/profit taking.

It’s steady creeping up now. The news of this is still getting out I expect it to continue to climb albeit slower

Resist the urge to sell unless you have a large amount invested. I don’t think we have peaked yet

I am not going to consider selling until $125. I might dump half then. On the flip side, if it dips under $80, I'm in for some more.

Sort of. 30 days after the merger is complete or 12 months from 9/8/21, whichever is later.

I’m just staying put, I’m no good at swing trading and I understand this.

It’s hard to argue that 3 million shares caused a dip when the stock traded 35 million shares at the open, but you could be right.

I’d be a little surprised if the stock was able to take out its intraday high of $175 today, but who knows? I’d imagine Trump wants to tread carefully with public comments about the stock, but if he does make a couple comments it could get a little crazy.

There is no need for him to speak on this now and he knows that. When he does, expect a swing of $50 or more.

He’ll have to be careful regardless given the SEC will be watching.
