Huge, he has arguably the 3rd best resume behind Saban and Fisher. Also note that he is only 38 wow

He’s not coming here. He’s got everything he wants built there. Hell his defenses have been better than ours the last two years

Why the love for Lincoln? What has he actually accomplished that his predecessor didn’t? I’ve asked this a couple of times but haven’t really gotten an answer.

Kevin Sumlin is all broke arse LSU can afford.

Tell me why Lincoln would leave a place he's idolized at for a crime-ridden swamp in LA that about to be under NCAA sanctions.

You sound angry. Is it bc deep down you know we could take your coach if we wanted him?

You ask, "What has Lincoln Riley actually accomplished?" Well, I'll tell you.

He's consistently won conference championships in years when Texas is down and A&M is no longer a member. He has life and death struggles with a program like Iowa State, and manages to escape some marathon 52-51 games because he still hasn't managed to find a defense after all this time.

He makes the Playoff and loses. Every. Single. Time. Often in embarrassing fashion. Then again, the teams he's facing are very good. You know, kinda like facing SEC teams in the regular season.

See? He's done all that stuff. If that's good enough for folks, then so be it.

Great post. I really don’t understand the attraction. I think he’s a 9-3, 8-4 guy with OU in the SEC, which isn’t bad but it’s not what LSU is looking for.

Riley doesn’t care about defense.

I agree, Aguga. He's had every advantage a coach could have, but all he's done is beat bad teams. When he steps up in weight class, he goes down.
