Was it just me or did I see LSU’s president at the press conference yesterday? Is that normal? I heard talks of how involved he is with Scott Woodward and the coach search. Will this be a problem? Or are these just rumors I need to dismiss?

Whether he is involved in the coaching search or not, I would imagine any university Prez would be at the press conference where you're firing the head of the school's cash cow and paying him 17mil to go away.
Wouldn't read much into him being at the presser.

You must be new to LSU. Our prez already resurrected the women’s basketball program single handed. Now is his turn at LSU football.

He’s already stated that he plans to “make his mark” on the university, so I’m guessing he will inject himself into lots of areas that past presidents left well enough alone. I don’t think that’s necessarily a good thing.

Nice! Don’t really follow to much on other LSU sports tbh, don’t have time. But if he’s the one who resurrected the woman’s basketball team and now it’s his turn to do football then might as well make him AD ????

The president of the University is always involved in the biggest hire at the university, and has always been. Mark Emmert was heavily involved in hiring Saban, O'keefe was involved with hiring Miles, even shithead was involved when "I am the search", so yes, the current LSU president is going to be involved in the hiring of the next coach. It is the most, and for most people the only, visual representation of the University on a national level.

I agree. It’s coming. LSU fans had to know this was coming when they insisted on O being fired. Now they act upset?

He doesn’t need to be AD to leave his mark.
