Looks like they are keeping Ed on as an employee, with a new agreement. (something I suggested in another thread)

That means LSU will be paying him not to recruit for other teams, as I suggested was a possibility.

As I said in another thread they put a no compete for 18 months for any HC job in the geographical confines of the SEC…

Thay are also keeping him on the tab for personal appearances for LSU for at least 1/yr for 4 yrs.

This is why Woodward needs a big mark against him. Ed did not care once he got this large guaranteed buyout. He gets divorced and disappeared basically while team dealing Wuhan unknowns and then summer of love. He has a history of bad coaching and immature behavior, and He constantly bad mouthed LSU before LSU signed his paychecks. We signed him to a guarantee that ensured he would not be motivated to be the coach at end of contract, and then instead of negotiating it down or having some balls to fire for cause we have to pay it to not have him frick us now and in the future.

Woodward should be taking an O pay cut. He both approved contract and didn’t separate department including himself probably from actions that O has done that could have been used against him without also bringing down Athletic Department. The only binder O was keeping up to date after contract was one he could use against others at LSU. Why else would LSU pay a piece of crap like O to not hurt LSU. That’s on Woodward.
