In June 2012, Payton and his wife Beth filed for divorce. In 2014, after his suspension and the finalization of his divorce, he moved from the New Orleans suburbs where he had kept his in-season home to Uptown New Orleans, buying a condo in that neighborhood, and now lives there year-round.

A lot of NFL coaches probably don’t live in the city that they coach for.
