This is a serious question. I did not see one time where we sent and extra blitzer. The QB was making coffee, eating a donut and then throwing the ball. We did shut down the QB run by not blitzing, but not one blitz?

Pretty clear at this point that while Daronte has cleaned up the communication issues from last season and eliminated the major busts, he’s maybe the most conservative and least imaginative defensive play caller I’ve ever seen.

because to do that the defense has to be lights out blanket coverage so you dont get torched for TDs

we dont have OC or DC coaches that know what they are doing to create schemes for that. they literally are just using base coverages because thats all the brain trust knows how to do
