45 holes, he was 4 over, gross. Needless to say, they won going away...

According to some experts here, he just had a good run.

According to the “Pope of Slope” he beat his index by at least 3 strokes which calculates to some very, very long odds.

In general, a person’s course handicap is about 3 strokes better than their average. So a course 5 would average about 8 over.
It is very hard to beat your handicap in consecutive rounds. To beat it by 3 shots is about 1:51. To do it back to back is about 1:2500. Three times? The math gets to big for me.

Net events are worthless. I only play for the tee gifts and food/beverage.

Beating your handicap is a good day.
Beating by 5 shots is a great day.
Doing it twice in a row is amazing.

Rare things can happen, but out performing an index consistently is not likely once a handicap is established.

It is what it is.
