It doesn't make financial sense as a standalone investment which is why you're seeing government funding create the winners and losers in this space.

The costs to install and maintain those offshore wind farms is astronomical compared to the energy they produce.

This level of power could be produced easily with Nuclear at a much lower cost and environmental impact.
