I was in Houston this past weekend and I saw more people wearing masks than anywhere I have been in Louisiana recently.

That is more than likely a lie, since I drive I20 through LA a few weeks ago and it was laughable at your masks and closed indoor fast foods.
With that being said, you were probably in the hipster part of Houston.
Was at the Texas State Fair in Dallas yesterday and it was 90% mask free.
