This is patently absurd. When LSU hired Saban at lot of people were saying how you couldn't win here, in the 20 years after McLendon, no coach lasted longer than 5 years. We fired 3 straight and 4 of 5. Only Arnsparger did not have a losing season. On top of that our facilities were shite and we were not willing to spend on assistants, DC Carl Reese left for Texas because we were not willing to pay him. Now we have top facilities, pay top salaries to assistants, and have shown pretty anyone with a pulse can win here how the hell do you get we are not as attractive as 1999.

this is also ridiculous. Saban had the team locked and loaded when he left, I'm sure youre going to say he lost 3 games the year after winning it all, 2 of those were on the last play including a Hail Mary in a game after he already said he was leaving and thats only 1 years.

Miles took over that loaded deck and did have a drop off the year after the title but improved in 2009 and was back to elite status in 2010 and was back in the BCSCG just 4 years after winning it and not for nothing but he did lay a lot of the foundation for the 2017 class that won the 2019 title.

The only coach having trouble maintaining here is O
