They recruit at a very high level in Norman, not far from LSU, and he still has horrific defenses and he gets embarrassed in the postseason. It's not like he'd be going from a mid-major talent level to LSU, they pump out NFL players. Those same OU teams aren't making the playoffs if he's in the SEC.
Current 24/7 roster composite has them 6th and LSU 5th with them having more 5* players than us on roster.
He loses 2-3 games every single year in the SEC. I just don't see him taking us to another title.

you don't put a contingent on riley. If the guy showed a fraction of interest, you pay him, and move along.

If he has the same talent level at OU as he'd have at LSU and gets embarrassed in the postseason and routinely has shitastic defenses, what makes you think he'll improve in Baton Rouge?

He doesn’t have the same talent level. Defensively they were no where close to what we had. Louisiana puts out elite defensive players year in and out. Oklahoma doesn’t have those players.

If he brought any players with him, would much prefer any stud OL Oklahoma may have over Williams. Need help at many positions, but QB is not near the top of that list.

Really just not true. We have better DBs, but the real issue on defense for them is coaching and he hasn’t corrected it for years despite getting his shite pushed in when he plays top non-conference teams.

We recruit better defensive players across the board constantly. We had 2 5 star defensive recruits last cycle, they had one in the top 100. They’re just not known for playing defense so they don’t get those players.

He’s the best offensive mind in college football also recruits at a high level nation wide we proved in 19 you don’t have to have a top 5 defense to win a championship pair Riley with a solid d coordinator and you will be in the playoff hunt every year
