re: If Lane comes to LSU he will almost surely bring Pete Golding with him.

Baker is going to be the head coach at Tulane next year no matter who the lsu coach is

There’s really no difference in this draft between players 1 through 6. 2027 is going to be super loaded with star players
I don’t think there is going to be much difference in picks 1-8 in this years draft in terms of value. So if we luck up and win a couple I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.
No definitely don’t take a safer number 1 I agree with that but if you are at 4 are 5 just take downs are the defensive from Miami that’s the 2 best players at the top. I don’t trust our front office to pick a quarterback that high. There’s to much risk with the qbs coming out this year.
If he wants to play in the nfl he needs to come back for one more year. I wouldn’t waste a first round pick on him it’s to risky. This years draft there’s not much difference between 1 through 8 just pick Caleb downs don’t overthink it.

re: What pieces do we trade this off-season?

Trade everyone you can get something for with the exception of Olave. Cut the rest. Burn it to the ground and rebuild.
If Sean Payton decides to call it quits

I think he moves into the front office in some capacity. Allen takes over as head coach. Nielsen takes over the d and Carmichael calls the offense. Pretty much keep everything in house.
He’s the best offensive mind in college football also recruits at a high level nation wide we proved in 19 you don’t have to have a top 5 defense to win a championship pair Riley with a solid d coordinator and you will be in the playoff hunt every year
I’m not really impressed with day or smart as a coach but Ohio state and Georgia have at least been more consistent as a whole organization and recruiting has been great I mean other than 19 we have been so up and down
A Woodward type hire
Posted by Mlscott32 on 10/5/21 at 3:48 am
You guys keep saying Woodward only goes after the big fish but There is only a couple out there who fit that mold. Saban, Day, Smart, Sweeney and Riley are the only ones that fit that with what they have done with their programs. Lincoln Riley is the only big fish you have a chance with you give him a blank check and hope he comes.
