re: Costa Rica help

San Jose has great restaurants and bars all over and tremendous hiking and plenty of parks and recreation areas. Since my gf lives there, she knows all the spots . Lots and lots of outdoor stuff to do so if you know your way around it’s awesome. That said, I’d go to La Fortuna or Manuel Antonio with the kids since it’s quintessentially Costa Rica . My comments were more for an adult and as a statement of how much I personally enjoy San Jose.

I would also recommend day trips - like ATV or Tortuga Island etc.
