I wouldn't worry about it then. I would not place a ton of faith in the algorithm used by Garmin to calculate your VO2Max. Treat it as more of an approximation

I’m not a “runner” per say. I live in the 2-4 mile range and I’m running 8:50-10:15 miles depending on what it is I’m doing so I don’t live or die by it, but I do find it odd the two things coincide. For reference I’ve had the watch since Christmas and had one previous change, a drop from 48-47 (honestly I questioned accuracy when my original read was 48, but maybe I’m hard on myself). I’d been at 47 for probably over 6 months even with changes in training. While I’m sure there’s an accuracy argument to be made, the algorithm from Garmin presumably didn’t change, but my value did.
