Can we finally put the Bush-bashing to rest?

For 3 years now people have found things to complain about with Reggie.
Yes, he had that one terrible fumble yesterday. But he also had 2 big play touchdowns and 140+ total yards to get us back in it. This game was a prime example of how to use Reggie the right way.
Bush is not to blame for the Saints rushing woes. We knew what he had when we drafted him. Sure, maybe we expected him to be a little better inside than he has been. But ultimately he has been and always will be a space player who thrives in the edges. He has even been BETTER, I think, than expected in the passing game.
The problems the Saints have had with inside running have been either RB personnel, poor execution by the line, or untimely play-calling.
It has never been all Reggie's fault. He's an explosive, multi-dimensional player.
I know he wasn't the scapegoat this week. But he shouldn't be seen as the scapegoat 10 weeks out of the year, as I'm sure he will be.

If we're 3-0 like we should be, Reggie is likely getting some early MVP hype. He's been awesome.

i think most everybody thought he'd be a running back when we drafted him

Did you honestly think he was going to gain 1500 yards with carries up the middle?
Posted on 9/22/08 at 12:03 pm to SlowFlowPro
damn SFP, you've never said that before. for once say something else about reggie than the other 10,000+ posts you've already said something about him not being a true running back. your shits weak. here's an idea. go on the rant and post "You know, LSU won the BCS championship last year". no shite captain obvious.

at least after yesterday SFP has to drop that other tired line from his anti-Reggie schtick. The one about no runs over 20 yards or no TD runs over such and such.. yada yada yada. That dude bores me.

just eat your crow SFP!

no one who watched him at usc thought he'd be a hardnosed runner, which is why i was excited when we got him to go along with deuce.

SFP wont come back in after he gets called out, just not his style. makes a point, albeit stupid point, and gets out only to be made to look like a dumbass later.

because reggie had a game with a 4.1 ypc and 78 yards?
YOU'RE RIGHT, HE'S LIVED UP TO THE HYPE AND IS WORTH BEING PAID THE MOST FOR ANY RB IN THE NFL!

mario williams was paid to rush the passer and stop the run. he is excellent in both and maybe the best 2-way DE right now
he was one of the top 5 at his position last year
reggie bush is not one of the top 5 RBs in the NFL. not right now

dude i hope he winds up with 1800 yds from scrimmage so you will shut the frick up. we knew drafting him he wasn't our short yardage back. if you didnt know that you're and idiot. we got him because he's a play maker. and BTW how's your man crush on head case errrrrrrrr i mean VY.
Posted on 9/22/08 at 1:51 pm to LSUsaintsfanla
he will be a better version of westbrook very soon...bank it...not as good an inside runner but a great threat everywhere else....teams won't punt to him like hester....we get + 10 yds on field position everytime they directional kick it out of bounds....
