I need to talk to someone about buying a truck, has to be a ¾ ton diesel for work. I don’t care if it’s Ford, Chevy, or Dodge.

I know how the market is right now so I think buying used is a stupid idea, you’ll just pay the same, if not more than a new one. I have some time to get this done so if I have to order it or travel I’ll do whatever.

If you sell cars hit me up.

Has to be ¾ ton because of the weight we tow/haul; they won’t pay a truck allowance for anything under that. It doesn’t NEED to be a diesel but we idle pretty much nonstop and the diesel is free at the yard.

ETA: 1 ton also acceptable.

You know some people actually use trucks for truck shite right? Did I say I’m looking for a Platinum or King Ranch or anything like that? I’m looking for a frickin work truck, to do actual work. Sorry I don’t sit behind a desk and frick around on Internet forums all day and my job actually requires the ability to move heavy shite long distances.

Because youre on here looking for a deal to buy a truck. Just go to the dealership. With the amount of vehicles the dealerships have and the amount of people buying them, you will get a good deal without needing help here

So I’m an insufferable douchebag because I need a truck? I didn’t ruin big trucks, the douche bags that buy $90k Platinums and never put a trailer behind it did. Now a guy can’t even buy a work truck for work without being called a douche.

It’s my office. You sit in your office in 90-100° heat with no A/C on? Diesels are designed to idle.

You’re proving you have no idea what you’re talking about by thinking you can just go on a dealership lot right now and find a selection of ¾ tons. They’re so hard to find new in fact that dealers are buying 2-3 year old used ones with 50k miles on them and paying more than what they were new. There’s a shortage smartass.

Gotta love a motherfricker with no clue what he’s talking about trying to put down someone who actually knows. You think I haven’t gone to multiple frickin dealerships?

Did I say they have some vast amount of vehicles? No.

You arent going to find some random dealer on the OT on a saturday night that has a secret stash of trucks. Go to a dealership and tell them what you need and see if they can find it.

You’ve been here long enough to know that there’s people on here that can be a big help with a lot of things. I haven’t posted in a long time but I’ve been on here for a hot minute and I’ve had OTers help me out with things multiple times. shite a good friend of mine got frickin married to a girl he met on here.

Search with fords website or true car, but Fords site will be best.

I just found an f-250 with a 7.3. Diesel should be easier. I hated to do it but I needed it. Paid sticker.

I looked for a couple weeks for exactly what I was looking for and it finally popped up on fords site on a Saturday night. Went and looked Sunday and it was fresh off the truck from Saturday afternoon.

I walked into the dealer Monday morning and said I wanted it. They were about to call at least one person that wanted a call when one came in. While we were doing paperwork and they were cleaning it, 3 other salesmen wanted it because they had people wanting it. You have to move fast.

Go to the sales lot and ask "What be the weekly?" It will get you the best deal.

I know you didn’t want used, but I used to see a TON of large trucks for sale in Lafayette and South of Lafayette which I’m assuming was oil field turnover. May be worth a shot. Good luck.

Good luck, I assume HD trucks are just as impacted as the 1/2 tons with the chip issues.
