me and my wife are both healthy, non smokers, neither have any health issues, neither on any medication. Same with our little boy.

With work paying part of my insurance, I still come out of pocket for yearly premium almost $16k

That's dumb. You should be in a HDP and saving that money cash in a HSA up to the allowable limit. That way it can work like an investment and grow over time.

I think my total out of pocket can't exceed $8K for a family. You need to explore other options.

I think my family premium is $165 a month. Work pays around 600 I think.
