My wife and I decided about a month or two ago that we wouldn't make the deductible unless something tragic happened, so we decided to forego the $700/ month we were paying in premiums and just cancel the insurance. Only thing we've had since it dentist appointments for the kids, but the dental plan we had was also shite.

Might want to look into joining a sharing ministry. Then you'll actually be covered and the dues are less.

I hope that works out to be a good strategy, but this is how a lot of people end up filing for bankruptcy when a major medical event happens.

This is one of the stupidest and most selfish things I’ve read here in awhile. There are areas you can save money without putting your children’s health at risk
