My wife works for federal government. ( no pic). Retiring in January , don’t want the vax. Ok anybody know any avenues to avoid vax or extend until retirement in January? Has afib ,which is heart issue. Her dad died at 55 heart issues. Her younger brother passed two Fridays back , heart issue. Last but not last older brother had open heart surgery month ago. Appreciate any real advice.

Would her cardiologist write a medical exemption for her?

Religious exemption, or clotting issue exemption from the A-fib( Dr Note)…. It’s possible, good luck..

Get a doctor to get that in writing as a medical exemption.
If they refuse, threaten to hold then personally liable for wrongful death and make then sign in writing acknowledging it.

Not sure but one thing we are hoping for. But if you read up on Covid vax it says good for people with heart issues

Get a lawyer and drag it out?

Will federal government sign off on something like that or do they maybe let it go till January?

We are thinking about lawyering up. Not sure if we can drag out till a January. Very new to this crap, what a great country we live in.

Just fake it. There are plenty of pharmacist that feel strongly the jab shouldn’t be mandated. They’ll not jab her and say they did.

She needs to stop being selfish and take the vax. How else is lunchbox's vax supposed to work?

Try the medical exemption, for sure... but if it seems like that won't work, go the above route. Also, from what I understand, before a federal worker is fired, they have to be given some kind of detailed reason in writing, from which they can then respond and appeal the decision? I'm extremely confident you can drag something like this out for 4 months the way the federal bureaucracy works...

If she don’t take gist vax by October 22 then won’t have time to be vax by November 22 date these assholes want it done.

Y’all need to find a way to run out the clock that has nothing to do with Covid.

That’s a good idea. Try and get a leave of absence

Explain. Family has huge heart issues . Also I forgot her mom passed away . Had to get heart surgery but passed before she had surgery.

No this doesn’t work.
I had a doctors note saying the same and a legit blood condition (haemochromatosis) and my hiring company did not give a single frick. Pulled the position entirely to avoid a lawsuit and in this manner they effectively pulled my offer.

The discipline actions for not getting vaxxed are progressive. It will probably start with a verbal warning. Then a letter of reprimand.
Each will likely have a period of time for the employee to comply. Chances are, she will retire long before the discipline progresses to removal.
Totally a guess.

Good idea but almost 4 months. If she gets canned loses her federal pay. Big part of her retirement income along with stock market investments that fricking Biden is fricking up too

Get a cardiologist to say they're advising her not to be vaccinated due to her family's heart issues. If the Feds still try to move forward with firing her, sue them.
There have ALREADY been lawsuits won by people over vax mandates when they do not allow religious exemptions.
