not having Lattimore, CGJ, Davenport, and Kwon was big. Had they played we would have given up fewer points no question about it.
McCoy was out on offense but I'm not so sure even having him in there today would have put us over the top. Carolina looks much improved on defense.

I thought in total the D played pretty good, maybe great considering what all they were missing.
The offense is a concern though. It’s easy for me to sit here and say Payton is being way to conservative with his offensive approach, but my worry is he’s doing that because he knows the alternative is worse.

It was missing those coaches. Our offense is complicated. Take out those guys that dissect every play and attack weakness. Take out those guys that show video of the last drive to the players. Take out a guy that is on top of subs.
We underestimate the importance of all of these guys in a professional football game.
It like a restaurant with zero sous chefs and foh middle management..
