Well Trump kept the entire Deep State and had ZERO gameplan or coordination with the GOP regarding obvious upcoming vote fraud - just another reason why he wasn’t nearly as smart as most of his supporters think he is. I love the dude but he really got being way too naive on multiple occasions. And all the interviews he gave to Woodward and Haberman I mean WtF dude?

Trump was not a politician before becoming president. He had not spent 40 years in DC figuring out who could be trusted and who couldn't.
He moved into DC behind the 8 ball. He had no idea who to put into his first cabinet and he ended up relying on a few deep staters for advice.
Towards the end of his first term he was getting a little better feel for who he could and could not trust but still was a neophyte in DC years (but, as you said he was still making unforced errors like the Woodward interview).
Hopefully, in his second term, he can start off with a group that he can trust to help him move the ball forward.
BTW, Mike Pence is not one of these people. Lets just say his staff was stabbing Trump in the back from day one of his presidency. All the rumors about Trumps mental unfitness for office started via the Pence staff.

At times, It can be difficult for an honorable man to understand or anticipate the actions of people without honor.

You shouldn’t criticize trump for the massive rot in dc and the media. The shite he went through would have broke most people
