As an FYI, Ivermectin is believed to be effective because it is a zinc ionophore, a carrier that assists in zinc passing through cellular membranes where zinc can fight viral replication.

It is believed that quercetin is just as effective if not more so in this regard, so if one is disposed to fight the 'rona this route, obtaining some quercetin is advisable. It's like 20 or 30 dollars a bottle at any vitamin supply store.

I have a low white blood cell count from lymphoma chemo, got rona, and did a ramped up supplement routine including quercetin/zinc. It was a minor three-day cold.

My anecdote is more reliable than Fauci.

It's also great for keeping inflammation down.... it's a protease inhibitor. It keeps proinflammatory cytokines in check.
