Luke is afraid to leave Ohio. He turned down the Michigan State job that went to Tucker. There's no way Cincy becomes a power program even in the diluted Big 12.
Luke is most likely waiting for the Michigan, Notre Dame, or Ohio State jobs become open due to firings, retirements, or the NFL.

Doubt any of those come open this year or anytime soon. Fickell has a senior QB and Heisman contender this year (Ridder) and they can potentially go undefeated - after this year it may be a good time to bolt.
