It happened to me the first day of COVID-19 lockdown. My dog was having trouble jumping in and out of the boat at our farm. He went and laid on the porch and I could tell something was wrong.

Brought him to the vet and she delivered the bad news. It was so advanced we put him down the next day.

When the time comes, and I hope it never does, you should check out Lap of Love. They came to the house and as sad as it was, he was at peace with our family on his favorite couch...

I'm gonna have to do this. My folks have a tendency to "collect" the strays that folks drop off in the country--cough assholes cough--and some of their flock are getting aged/decrepit.

It would suck to lose several dogs at once, but I've thought maybe it would be the best way for them to get past what would otherwise be multiple instances of grief separately.

Right now they're paying for the vet's grandchildren to attend college with the frequency of visits and cost of medication, special food, etc.
