Made my stomach turn right away when it started off with Yankee Stadium.

quote:
19. Lambeau Field
Location: Green Bay, Wis. Opened: 1957. Capacity: 72,928.
Because the only thing that's better than sitting inside this classic is standing outside drinking beer and eating brats at a tailgate party.
All the way down at 19?
quote:
33. Autzen Stadium
Location: Eugene, Ore. Opened: 1967. Capacity: 59,000-plus.
Because this relatively intimate stadium not only is a great place to watch a game, its many perks (plasma screen TVs and internet ports at each locker) has helped raise the bar throughout college football.

The whole list is tainted simply because they have Autzen stadium listed at 33!!!! What in the world makes that pitiful little history-less building more important than any stadium much less 30 spots higher than TS???!!

would the baseball hall of fame or espn's headquarters be sports venues?

It's not really the 100 most important venues, its the 100 most influential pretty much. Autzen is more influential than a lot of stadiums that have more history and importance because of the model it has set for modern facilities in college football

ESPN has too many employees. What a waste of cyberspace.
